I have created several SPRY/HTML slideshows with the "Create slideshow" command in Fireworks CS3. However, no matter what I set the interval setting to - the show speeds through the pictures. The show is created on a Intel MacBook Pro and uploaded to a webhotel. The speedy result is the same whether the show is wathced on a Mac (Firefox, Safari, Opera) or PC (IE). See example here which is set to an interval of 10 sec pr slide: http://www.climb.dk/...lins/index.html

The start of the xml code is shown below.

Any suggestions on how to correct this?

Cheers,

Hans

<Album title='The Catlins, New Zealand' description='' path='Catlins' hasThumb='false' thumbSrc='' hasBg='false' bgSrc='' bgScale='0' interval='10' useTransition='true' transType='Fade' transTime='2' firstImage='0' dispSequence='0'>

Hey hbo

Browse to your 'Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Fireworks CS3\Configuration\Commands\players\spry_black' folder and open spry_black_info.html file and you'll see what items are not functional with the slideshow script.

Unfortunately, the one you mention, Interval, is not supported in the Spry Gallery.

hope that helps

Also, in the Create Slideshow panel select the Spry gallery option and click the Info button. This will launch a html file explaining what is supported for that specific player type. As Darrell mentions Spry gallery doesnt support interval at this time. :(

** WORKAROUND for Fireworks Slideshow Interval Issue **
I'm using CS4, but it may work with slideshows created by other versions.

Make a change to two files in the folders where your slideshow was creaded:

In slideshow.xml change interval value to ''
EX:
interval=''

In the gallery.js file (in the scripts folder) change gSlideshowInterval at the following location to a larger or smaller number to affect the time between images.

Ex:
var gSlideShowInterval;
if (gSlideShowInterval == undefined)
gSlideShowInterval = 6000; // msecs between images.

I tested this change in IE6, Firefox 3.0.10, and Chrome - works like a champ!

Hope this helps!
