some of you may know of this all ready but here is a couple of sites that will take the url of a picture on the web and create a color palette based off the picture. Only problem is that the picture has to be loaded on the web but with all the free web hostings (yahoo, tripod...) that shouldn't be a big problem.

I have took the same picture to each site and got a little variation in the color pallets go give it a try.

You can actually do this in Fireworks too. :)

Open an image or import one into a current document.

In the Optimize panel, select GIF, Colors 256 and click the rebuild button.

Now you can save that palette or load it into your swatches/color popup menu in the PI.

Cool links though, thanks for sharing. I'll have to give that a try.

Checkout ColorThemes app, it can generate palettes from websites and photos :)
