hey all, this is a nice sunburst effect! Great that can apply controls over it.

Just a rookie question here though...
how do u apply/install the .mxp files...? :)

And what is the actual name for mxp?

Thanks!

If you have any Adobe products installed, you should be able to just double click the MXP -- it will open it in Adobe Extension Manager and automatically install it.

If you are on Vista, though, you need to first launch Extension Manager manually as an administrator (right click > run as administrator).

Also, download a fresh copy of the MXP, I had a broken one uploaded earlier.

FYI, this tutorial is still not completely obsolete, you can still get different effects with the method described here, my AutoShape is just another way to get some of the effects.

check out the sites posted here, i.e. abeall's, and just click on the "download .mxp.." link.
If it doesn't work, it MIGHT be broken.

Hey MeX... where did you get the MXP? There was a version circulating for a little bit that was broken and wouldn't install. Check the filesize of the MXP, if it's 1KB it's not the right one. It should be 6KB. The one on my site should be correct.

If you are on Vista make sure you run Extension Manager as an administrator (right click > run as admin).
