I created this (as with all my stuff) in Fireworks 8.

I've not provided a step-by-step tutorial for this but have divided the layers up so you can see how simple it was to make.
The hardest part is creating the base layer with the various levers of shading. This was done using a linear shade set as Elipse and a few "inner shadows" from the effects area.

This mouse was created for our E-Learning software to act as a large icon.

The rest of the layers are straight forward :)
Hope it helps someone!

Nice and it looks good too. I definitely picked up a tip. Keep it simple and not overdo it like I did today when I was prototyping an app. :)

Hi everyone,

Have been looking for an opportunity to resurrect this and recreate this for a while and have found one as a design I'm working on at the moment required a mouse graphic, so thanks Adam.

Have included a .png for you to see how I did it if you are interested. A few minor diffrences formthe original - namely shading on the two "egg" like shapes wsa done entirely using inner shadows and experimenting with the angles, whislt the button shapes onthe mouse are a little bit different.

Hope it is useful to someone.
