This is my first post here. I've recently bought Fireworks CS5, never had it before and never really used it, so think i'll ask a few questions in the forum today. As for my question I've recently downloaded this Stencil set. It mentions Mac instructions for moving the files into the common library folder. But I'm having trouble tying to find the location for the common library on a windows platform.

Would anyone be able to advise?

On a slight other note. Regarding some of the 2D images already in the common library, I wanted to use one on a site. Am I allowed to do this or do royalty and licensing apply? I feel like i've read the answer is no, but wanted to check.

Thanks for any help, and hello

First, there are TWO locations for Common Library files on Windows. On Windows 7, you can find your customized Common Library folder here:

C:\Users\USERNAME_HERE\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Fireworks CS5\Common Library

You drop folders of component symbols here, then restart Fireworks, and they will appear in your Common Library panel.

The component symbols that ship with FW are located on Windows 7 here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Fireworks CS5\Configuration\Common Library

The symbols that ship with Fireworks are free and available for you to use in web projects.
